My name is Helen Whitehouse and I am the Chair of Governors at Metheringham Primary School where I have been a governor for 13 years. Initially I was a Parent Governor but now serve on the board as a Local Authority Governor. I am now in my sixth term as Chair of Governors.
I work with the rest of the governing body to make sure that Metheringham Primary School provides excellent learning opportunities so that your children achieve the best possible outcomes.
As a governing body we ensure that Safeguarding procedures are in place and we regularly monitor the school milestones for school improvement to ensure that the school is working with clear vision.
As Chair of Governors I work closely with the Head Teacher to provide support and challenge, holding her to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the performance management of the staff.
I also help the governing body to work as a team, overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure that money is well spent.
Our monitoring activities are available on this webpage for you to view.
