" I would like to thank everyone at Metheringham Primary School for all the support you have given to my grandchild. When he first arrived at your school he had very low self-esteem and was not able to express his feelings other than running away or at times hitting out. With a lot of hard work and effort from the staff, he is now able to communicate how he is feeling in an appropriate way,but what I am especially pleased with is how happy he is and how he looks forward to going to school. My daughter and son in law are so pleased that he is in a school that are working with them to achieve the best outcomes for him. A very special thanks to his class teacher,Mrs Grundy, teaching assistants Mrs Wray and Mrs Schwandt, SENDCo Mrs Thackray and Mrs Blake, Pastoral support. You have all made school life a positive experience for him. I would not hesitate recommending your school to any parent or grandparent. This is a school that puts the children first." 

Mrs Thackray has given us an enormous amount of support with our son who has special educational needs, from producing his Individual Education Plans,advising us and taking us to specialised courses to helping with completing paperwork for an EHCP- Education Healthcare Plan. Without Mrs Thackray's help we have no idea where we would be right now. 

Mrs Thackray is patient, a great listener and very welcoming to whom we can share any concerns we may have. Mrs Thackray is a credit to any school, but we are extremely lucky our children have her at Metheringham Primary school.
